Playing in the 2006 WSOP was one of the most exciting things I have done.
To think for a moment you have a chance to win millions of dollars, play poker against the best in the world.
One of my goals for 2009 is to get back to the World Series of Poker to play in the 10,000 main event.
I am willing and can only afford to put up $3000 of my own money which is 30% of the buy-in. Plus I will be spending on travel expenses.
If you sponsor me, I will split my winning with you based on percentages.
For Example: $100 increments = 1% of my winnings. So let's say I win one million dollars in the main event and you sponsored $100, then $100 / $10,000 = .01 (1 percent) of my winning. In this case of one million dollars you would win $10,000.
Last year there were 6,844 entries and you make the money if you finish in the top 10% of the field. Last year first money finisher was in 666th place and won $21,230.
If that was me you would win your percentage / $21,230. In the case of $100 that would be $212.30, not a whole lot but you would over double your money.
If I made the final table, your $100 sponsor or 1% would be as follows
1st place: $9,152,416 = $91,524.16
2nd place $5,809,595 = $58,095.95
3rd place: $4,517,773 = $45,177.73
4th place $3,774,974 = $37,749.74
5th place $3,096,768 = $30,967.68
6th place $2,418,562 = $24,185.62
7th place $1,772,650 = $17,726.50
8th place $1,288,217 = $12,882.17
9th place $900,670 = $9,006.70
I could also not place at all and you wouldn't get any money back either like I did in 2006 but I am a better player today.
Each Sponsored donation will be posted on the site and will come with a contract that we will both Sign if requesting one.
I am putting in $3,000 initially so I'll only own 30% of any winnings in the 2009 WSOP Main Event.
